We are delighted to honor Gabbi Benton as our 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year. As a 6th-grade mathematics educator in Georgia, Gabbi consistently brings enthusiasm, clarity, and compassion to the classroom. She builds strong relationships with her students, creating an environment where every learner feels valued, heard, and challenged to succeed. Through innovative lessons, collaborative group work, and real-life applications of math, she helps students not only master content but also develop confidence and a growth mindset. Her commitment to student achievement and her role as a mentor and positive influence make her a standout among her peers. Naileah West truly embodies kindness, loyalty, and compassion in everything she does. Naileah is always there to listen, offer support, and make others feel valued and never alone. She lives by the ROAR expectations, showing respect, ownership, achievement, and responsibility in her actions every day. Naileah treats everyone with kindness, stands up for what’s right, and leads by example through her positive attitude and strong character. She doesn’t just follow the Golden Rule, she lives it, bringing joy, encouragement, and light to those around her. Her caring nature and dedication to others make her a perfect choice for this award.

Ashton Jenkin’s character, achievements, and the way she treats others. She is a true team player who balances academics, athletics, and leadership with grace and responsibility. Ashton maintains excellent grades while actively participating in FBLA, student council, and multiple sports teams, including basketball, cross country, and track. She is respectful, caring, and dependable, someone who consistently supports and uplifts those around her. Ashton’s kindness, strong values, and positive attitude make her a role model for others. She not only excels in her accomplishments but also inspires others through her compassion, integrity, and dedication.

Mrs. Judy is the friendly face that greets everyone who walks through our doors, always ready to help with a smile. She keeps our front office running smoothly, supports staff and students with care, and makes everyone feel welcome and valued. Thank you, Mrs. Judy, for all that you do to keep Risley Middle School organized, positive, and running strong. You truly embody the Wildcat spirit every single day!

Mrs. Palmer brings energy and innovation to the media center, creating engaging experiences that inspire curiosity, imagination, and critical thinking. She is does an awesome job with hosting schoolwide events that draws students and teachers to particpate. She supports both students and staff by providing resources, guidance, and encouragement to help everyone succeed.
