Five Glynn County Students Named 2026 REACH Georgia Scholars

Posted Date: 11/04/26 (08:22 AM)

At Glynn County Schools, we believe every student possesses unique potential, and with the right support, that potential can transform into extraordinary success. We are thrilled to celebrate five middle school leaders who have earned a distinct honor: selection as 2026 REACH Georgia Scholars.

REACH Georgia (Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen) is a needs-based mentoring and scholarship program designed to equip promising students with essential academic, social, and financial support. The program acts as a guide from middle school through high school graduation, providing scholars with a direct pathway toward postsecondary achievement.

By connecting scholars with dedicated mentors and establishing a solid educational foundation, REACH Georgia ensures that hard work and dedication in middle school lead to concrete opportunities for college and career readiness.

This year’s scholars received their life-changing news through a series of surprise visits right at their middle schools. Assistant Superintendent Mr. Eric Benson, alongside his secretary Mrs. Jennifer Sapp, school principals, and supporting teachers, stopped by classrooms to personally share the big announcement.

To formalize their commitment to academic excellence, scholars and their loved ones recently gathered for an official contract signing ceremony. By signing their contracts, students committed to maintaining strong grades, good behavior, and consistent attendance throughout high school.
